I took this photo earlier this week and it’s visually embodying the perfect calm within the storm I’m currently wading through.
Amidst chaos, confusion and clinical smells: I trust that like all cycles of life; the weather, the seasons, the moon; this too will pass and come full circle and leave me cracked open and ready to receive new gifts and connections within myself, and others, upon my healing.
In new ways, shapes and forms, be able to understand this crazy experience we’re all navigating amongst new physical, emotional and spiritual terrain.
I know nothing if not that heartbreak, trauma and pain are gateways for unbridled, unconditional empathy.
That writing will forever be my medicine.
That long nights and dark moments can and do in fact end in some form of lightness, and that holding my breath whilst I wait won’t prove me wrong.
Today, I thank these clouds for reminding me that lightness and softness is strength; but rain and storm is a necessary and inevitable element of my being.
I thank my body for letting me down in this moment so I can move forward, more freely, as my future unfolds.
