These past few months have welcomed a world of change.
The last week alone has felt like 365 days crammed into seven. New parts of ourselves being cracked open and unleashed perhaps before we’re able, willing and ready. Reflexes flaring and breaths unintentionally shallow. Nothing feels easy or restful.
There was so much swirling in this time, and the aftermath has left me like a child chewing on a sour lolly; tongue burning, pocket money invested. Eager and nervous. Investments questioned.
Knowing it’s what i want, but acknowledging the burn at the same time. Perhaps that’s what letting go of old layers of ourselves really feels like: bitter, sweet and sour all in the same bite. Slowly digesting this new space, one gulp of newness at a time.
