Self discovery isn’t or doesn’t always need to be bold acts of working through our trauma or deciphering what’s holding us back.. sometimes, it’s just drinking a glass of water.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tending to our needs can and will look different from person to person, and also from each persons’ day to day.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My self-practice today looks very different to what it once was. And I’m so okay with it, even proud of that.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What comes with continued practice is room to let yourself be who you are, and need what you need, without scrutiny or judgment.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Self-practice is an act.
Self-practice is a feeling.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Most importantly, self-practice, at its core, is self-compassion and rediscovery.
